Four growing trends that we can't get enough of: Pastels, Glitter, Neon and painted hair.
Now, the painted hair isn't usually embodied as literal as the above photos however, it is a growing trend to sport graffiti locks of any hue. As many colours as there are to choose from, there are videos on how. Whether it be chalking, using a rinse, or permanently dying your hair electric blue (Be still Grandma's heart at Sunday Roast), there are youtube videos, bloggers and hairdressers willing to help you! The likes of Narcisso Rodriquez, Issey Miyake Julien Macdonald, Topshop Unique, Wildfox and many more have all opted for the vogue-esque do, putting their candy-coloured footprint on the to-do lists of 'nistas everywhere.

She needed to be free.

1. Rib.
2. A rodlike internal supporting organelle that runs along the base of the undulating membrane of certain flagellate parasites. Also called basal rod.

Black Milk Clothing built an empire around the idea of printed leggings, swimsuits, body suits and dresses. And for that, we thank them. For a while now we have been impressive fans of Black Milk, during that time a few pieces have wiggled their way into my heart. One of which being their infamous Black Rib Swimsuit. It's dark, it's edgy, but not limited to the bodices of punk rock lovin' chicks. For the above we had influences from both Black Milk Clothing and the Japanese artist Audrey Kawasaki, for they both have a darkness and femininity to their work. We feel these a successful bunch of photos and suggest you too turn your body into a living x-ray!

Trends come and they go and some of them just make you wonder why anyone would like it to begin with. I don't know what it is about pastel candy coloured hair but it just makes our heart melt. When we see candy coloured hair we think of all things dainty and splendid: Tea cups, flowers, ballerina's, and fairy floss and most importantly - My Little Pony. On tumblr their are girls here there and everywhere sporting this trend, one of them in particular mylittleponyhair.tumblr.com. We think more people in the world should sport some candy hues in their locks, and we sure aren't shy to try it for ourselves.

When we started, we set out some big goals for the label. One of which was Frankie Magazine. Frankie could possibly have been what we thought the biggest. We planned all of this for our 1 - 2 year mark and just six months in we made it! Many things are planned for the future of La Lune and to have already reached this is an absolute dream.

La Lune for Runway Limited 2012 was a collection that we supplied a Chelsea, an apprentice hairdresser for Tokunai Hair for their annual hair show Runway Limited.
It was a fun event with some crazy hair, well thought out themes and an homage to 80's glam rock afro wigs!

When we were sitting around one day throwing around the idea of becoming fashion designers of our own label, we had to plan how we were going to sell our garments. For us it was an easy decision - online. Our online shop is through Etsy, a website dedicated to honouring handmade, unique, and vintage sellers around the globe. We have been avid buyers of all things Etsy for a long time, and thought it appropriate to stick with what we knew.
This ethereal beauty you see in the photos is Rose. We can't thank you enough for bringing our collection to life and making our debut into the online world.
You can find our shop at www.laluneclothing.etsy.com, where we have all the collections to date ready to order. We make everything as you order and ship to every country!
